It's Showtime!!!!

For many people in Denver, October 30th will possibly be a major turning point for their businesses. The South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce Expo 2007 features a full day of celebrating, connecting and learning about how to increase their businesses’ potential in today’s marketplace. The day will begin with an open Board of Director’s Meeting from 7:30 to 9:00 and will be your chance to see the Chamber leaders in action.

At 9:00, businesses will put themselves in the spotlight in a fun “Showtime” themed Business Trade Show. The Denver Business Journal, Denver’s leading business-to-business publication, is this years presenting sponsor. With over 100 exhibitors, the show offers something for everyone who is looking for an edge over the competition. Business seminars with a twist will also be held throughout the day and are free with Expo Admission! “Across the Universe” Experience Marketing, “Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader”- 5 Methods for Staying the Course to Business Success, and “Pushing Daisies” Opportunities for Growth through Franchising will take place in the morning. “Life” Why Blog?, “The Amazing Race” Driving Increased Profits through Customer Focus, and “The Office” Internet Marketing taking place in the afternoon.

The 86th Annual Volunteer Awards Luncheon will take place the same day from 11:45 to 1:15pm in the Marriott DTC banquet room. The Chamber will honor volunteers of the year with the honors divided among various Chamber business groups. Honorees to be announced and celebrated include The Chamber Business of the Year, “Community Partner” Award, EDG Volunteer of the year, SBDC Volunteer of the year and Chamber Connection Volunteer of the year. A special award for the “Not your Ordinary Volunteer” and others will also be announced. Nobody but the committee knows who the awardees are (and they are not talking) so it could be you! The Luncheon will also serve as the Chamber’s Annual Meeting where the incoming board members are introduced to the membership. These gatherings are always upbeat with plenty of spark and humor.
